The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency explained it is actually alarmed with regard to the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is a SRD result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The service point created for intervention experiences a high inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it difficult to the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more assets to help the servicing of all customers and enhance usage of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
